Pennies For Pets

Me and a couple of my friends have started this orginasation called Pennies For Pets.
It is a way you can donate money to Project Pet to help animals that need help.

My Dream

A soft, sweet animal.
Soft, golden fur.
Soft, blue eyes.
A soft, gentle lick.

The Beach

The waves rolling in and out,
Crashing at the shore,
Turning in to white foam.
The seagulls gliding in the sky.
The best part is the sunlight,
Flowing across me.

Garden

The sun light flows across the plants,
The dew shines like diamonds.
The beautiful, green sprouts grow bigger, and greener everyday.
Soon the music of birds fills the garden,
At last.

The Library

The library is the peacefullest place.
The only sound is fingers tapping out letters on keyboards,
Pages turning,
And quiet whispers.
The library, is the best place to be.

Reading

My eyes fly across the page,
My heart starts to beat faster,
The moon is flowing light over my page,
I have to finish the book.

Writing

My thoughts flow across the page,
Like a river flows.
As my page fills the story gets better,
The sound of pencils on paper fills the room,
I live to write.

The Beach

This summer I went to the beach with my friend Madeline for a week. We played in the ocean most of the days we were there. One of the days we went to the water park. I went down lots of water slides. One of them was called Head Rush .On that 0ne you slide down on a mat. Another one was called White Water Express. In that one you go down on a inter tube. The other one I went on is called The Dark Hole. You go down on a inter tube on that one to. We went on the Slow river lots of times. We went in the wave pool to. Another day we went to put-put. It was really fun. I wanted to stay longer but I wanted to go home to. I had a really fun time!

Lake Murray

Almost every weekend my family goes to lake Murray. On Saturday I learned how to do a handstand under water. I like going up on the hill near the bathrooms because you can see all of the different colors of people and the water. I like to swim under water and collect cool rocks. when you first come in to the lake it makes you hungry because you smell and see people cooking food. Its great to stay for a long time so you can have a great time outside and you can play in the water. I always have a great time and a fun time!

My Day

Today was really fun. We had exploration when we came in to the classroom. I helped Mr.O file some papers. Emily, Ikia, Sydney, Adam, and Sam also helped. The book fair opened today also.
I brought some money so I could buy one. There was alot of books! Some were picture books, some were chapter books, and some were nonfiction books. At recess I looked at a magazine with Ashli, Ikia, Sydney, Hunter, and Emily. When we we went in from recess we read Saving Shiloh. At 12:30 we went to art. We made little frogs. Everyone's was different. Some were alligators, some were birds and most were frogs. After art we let go 2 of our painted ladies (butterflies). Later on we did some graphs about our pulse. First we sat down and then we counted our pulse for 15 seconds. Then we jogged in place. We made bar graphs and made up our own graphs. After that we packed up and went to carpool. After I got a snack and did my chores I made small strings of beads for everyone in my family with their names on them. It was a fun School day and home day! Ican't wait until tomorrow and Friday because Friday is Splash Day!!!!!

My Weekend

It has been a good weekend. On Saturday we just had fun at home. On Sunday we went to my uncle and aunt's house. They have 2 cute dogs named Dixie and Maverick. Dixie is a sort of orange color and Maverick is a brown and white color. Dixie is older then Maverick so she is quieter than Maverick. Maverick is a small, cute, playful puppy. He loves to play roughly. We had hamburgers and hot dogs for dinner. We had a great time there. Today we went to a park with a little creek. We played in the creek and found tadpoles, a beetle, and millipedes. It is called Guignard park. You should go there some time. it was a fun weekend.

My School

I go to school at Center For Inquiry. It is a great school. My friends are: Ashli, Ikia, Sydney, Hunter, and Madeline. At recess we play o'ball. At 12:30 we go to our special area. On Monday we have music, Tuesday we have art, Wendsday we have p.e., Thursday we have computer, And on Friday we have spanish. My favorites are art and computer. Every Friday we have a different class does gathering. My teacher's name is Mr.O'keefe. He is really funny. My school is THE BEST!!!!!(And of course my friends and teachers!)Go to:

The School Day

Today at school we had map testing. It was sort of hard. After everyone was done with their test we went to recess. We got 45 minutes of recess. I played Hotel For Dogs. After a few minutes the third graders came out for their recess. We played O'ball with them. Later on that afternoon we read some Saving Shiloh. At about 2:50 we packed up and got ready to go home. It had been a long, hard, fun day and I couldn't wait untill the next day.

Writer's Notebook

In my class we have notebooks that we write our stories in. Each month we have a certain topic that we have to write about like a family story,or a memoir.The story we have to write for April is a story that has characters that we can feel like we know the characters. They are a lot of fun to write because we get to make up different types of stories.
